[EDIT] Okay, so I couldn't leave this for 24 hours without making an edit. Sorry for spamming your inboxes! D: What do you think about the added texture? Good or bad?

Well, I finally completed a self portrait. I usually have difficulty getting a good likeness, but I feel pretty confident with this one.

I applied some of the things I learned from my oil painting class here. Looks even more "painterly" than usual. Heh.

Hate to be Negative Nancy here, but I think perhaps you made your face a little too rounded, too wide through the cheeks and jaw? And you also look a little scared out of your mind. LoL

heh. That's my look of intense concentration. Me looking at myself in a mirror under heavy scrutiny... apparently I scare myself. lols

Maybe I've gained weight? Just kidding. Perhaps sharpening up the shadow on the left side of the jaw would help...
